Angela Binkley Turk attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate studies in Health Science Education before pursuing her master’s degree from the University of North Florida in rehabilitation counseling. She worked for fifteen years as a teacher and counselor within the school system and held teaching certificates in Health and Exceptional Student Education. As a former educator and rehabilitation counselor, she provides a comprehensive approach to therapy by considering educational needs and disability issues. She has worked with adolescents and adults with mood disorders and addictions for 20 years in both inpatient and outpatient treatment settings. She also specializes in family mediation, which provides a set of skills to help individuals and families adjust to transition related to divorce.
She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and Indiana, Qualified Supervisor in Florida, holds national Certification in Rehabilitation Counseling, and is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator, as well as a notary public.
Specialties include Adolescent therapy (age 12+), addictions/ substance abuse, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, marriage and family issues, anger, grief, and issues of spirituality and faith.
Angela resides in Jacksonville, Florida with her husband, daughter, and multiple rescue animals. She enjoys music, theater, and spending time with family and friends.
