Brittany Best, LCSW

Therapist

Therapy is, at its core, a relationship, and that relationship is where real change begins. Brittany’s work is relational, psychodynamic, and client centered, with a focus on trust, safety, and understanding how past experiences shape present patterns. Rather than asking what is wrong with you, therapy explores what has happened to you and how those experiences continue to influence emotions, relationships, and self-beliefs. Brittany helps clients explore the emotional patterns that develop over time and show up in their lives and relationships while also offering practical tools to support anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, and mood related challenges. She has experience working with trauma and PTSD, including combat veterans, as well as personality disorders, substance use, grief, and attachment related struggles. Her background in medical social work and child welfare informs a deeply nonjudgmental, systems aware approach that honors resilience and complexity. Brittany earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Florida and a master’s degree in social work from Florida State University. She also provides gender affirming and inclusive care and welcomes conversations around identity, social constructs, feminism, and empowerment. Therapy with Brittany is collaborative, gentle, and grounded in curiosity, offering a space to understand yourself more deeply and move toward a life that feels more authentic and connected.
