Therapist

Tony Fiser is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Addictions Professional with more than 40 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges. As one of the original founders of Breakthroughs Counseling, Tony has dedicated his career to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals facing addiction, trauma, grief, existential life issues, and  behavioral health concerns.

Tony believes that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and collaboration. He strives to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, challenged, and empowered to begin their healing journey.

“Change can happen where trust, respect, and a balance of support and feedback exist. My goal from the very beginning of therapy is to establish this environment so that you can begin your healing as soon as possible.”

Tony earned his Master of Social Work from the University of Louisville and is a Certified Addictions Professional (CAP). His therapeutic approach is individualized and integrative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness practices, and meditation. He is passionate about helping clients build resilience, gain insight, and create lasting change.

Outside of his clinical work, Tony enjoys living in beautiful St. Augustine, Florida, with his wife, Sunshine. In his free time, he enjoys painting, swimming, baking sourdough bread, practicing mindfulness, and spending time on the water fishing. He is also the proud father of two adult daughters and grandfather to three grandchildren.
